Serie B, the 5 best midfielders in the championship: Casiraghi elusive, super Vandeputte

Focus TMW

Once the Serie B regular season is over, it’s time for verdicts. After 38 days, who is the best midfielder in the cadet championship according to TMW’s votes? Daniele Casiraghi from SudTirol has dominated this special ranking since the beginning of the championship. The 16 goals scored (best scorer of the South Tyrolean club, fourth in the general classification) contributed to the salvation of SudTirol.

In second place is the best assistman in Serie B, Jari Vandeputte of Vivarini’s Catanzaro. There are 14 winning passes put on the scoresheet by the Belgian, the only midfielder capable of troubling Casiraghi in this special ranking during the season.

The podium closes Dimitri Bisoli, captain of Brescia, protagonist of a great comeback with the Rondinelle that took the team to the playoffs. Fourth place for Luca Zanimacchia of Cremonese in front of the jewel of Parma Adrian Bernabé: the Spaniard, fresh from renewal, after a fantastic start to the season, had a period where he didn’t shine, only to return as a protagonist in the decisive moment of the championship.
