Benny Henrichs renews his contract with Leipzig. Author of an excellent season with the Red Bull team, making 40 appearances of which 35 as a starter, topped off with a goal and 7 assists, the German defender has extended his agreement until 2028. The announcement came with an official press release published by the Saxon club in which the player’s words are reported:
“We have always exchanged ideas very fairly. Now I am 27 years old and of course I also asked myself whether I wanted to try something new. But the club and the sports management around Rouven Schröder and Marco Rose have always shown me very clearly that they are counting on me and who would like to see me continue in Leipzig. This appreciation makes me proud and I am happy to continue being a Red Bull.”
