Gasset announces farewell to Olympique Marseille: “I will no longer be a coach, but I will remain in football”

Jean-Louis Gasset leaves Olympique Marseille. And he also leaves the role of coach. At 70, the current OM coach announced in a press conference that he has decided to put an end to his career on the bench, although he will still remain linked to the world of football, but with other tasks.

“Tomorrow is the last match of my career. After… I think I will stay in football, that my experience, my ideas and my networks will be used is a possibility. I don’t know how to garden, I won’t have anything to do. But being a coach is over for me. My decision is final,” Gasset declared in front of the media.

He expresses himself as follows about his experience at Olympique Marseille: “It’s a pleasure for me to have coached OM. I spent some time at the Vélodrome… frankly, I got goosebumps. I want to win this last game and then leave alone. I want to finish with an important performance. OM is a very demanding club and it is even more difficult to go there during the season. It was necessary to bring confidence and serenity, with results restore the situation. But I will only be satisfied if we win on Sunday.”
