Ferrara: “Juve is used to something else. I believe they will change coach at the end of the season”

The former defender Ciro Ferrara gave an interview to ‘Sport Mediaset’ on the eve of the Italian Cup final between Atalanta And Juventus: “The two teams arrive at this final in totally opposite ways from a physical and mental point of view, but it is a final and even if Atalanta seems to be better the result is really open, it is difficult to give percentages. Knowing the history of Juventus, I expect a reaction to a championship finish that was not up to par.”

Why this collapse?
“It’s difficult to understand, you have to be in it. I imagine that no one can be happy with this end of the championship beyond the objective achieved and the possibility of being able to win a trophy, it was a second part of the season in great difficulty. Juventus is used to I don’t know who is to blame, it’s difficult to understand.”

How do you interpret Allegri’s words regarding his future?
“I don’t know the dynamics but I’ve already expressed my feeling… Max has done a great job, but I don’t think Juventus will start from him again next year. This is my feeling because in the end it’s the environment we find ourselves in at a particular moment and probably after many years spent together it is also right that they part ways”.

If you were Gasperini what would you do?
“The Atalanta-Gasperini combination is difficult to separate, I think it’s a record all these years together and it’s certainly something new for Italian football. We need to understand if he has different motivations for trying another experience different from an environment that saw him grow and to whom he has given so much. This Atalanta is doing great things.”
