Vicenza interested spectator of the matches scheduled tomorrow for the second round of the Serie C playoffs. In fact, from those matches, the first rival of the Lanerossi in the first round of the national phase which will be played between legs on 14 and 18 May.
On the moment of training today in the hands of Stefano Vecchi the DS expressed himself Luca Matteassi through the microphones of Vicenza newspaper: “When you change coach it is always a defeat for everyone, but the numbers speak for themselves. Since Vecchi arrived he has done very well, we have given him a great hand by removing several players who were not part of the project and we have thus thinned out the squad, the number was reduced and he was very good at getting everyone on his side. We finished third and I think the boys had a really important return round.”
On the condition of the team in view of the playoffs, he then explains: “He is fine, we are having a ‘typical’ week to be ready for the first leg scheduled for Tuesday. We train on Sunday afternoon, then on Monday morning and in the afternoon we leave for the destination that will be decided in the draw on Sunday morning”.
On his future and that of the coach, Matteassi continues: “Vecchi will stay, he has another year on his contract. He signed for a year and a half, he is doing an excellent job and I really don’t see the problem. I also have another year on my contract, then you have to ask the company, not me”
