Tiago Djalò can leave Juventus as early as June. The Portuguese defender arrived at Juventus in January for 3.6 million – which could reach 5.1 with bonuses – but he hasn’t convinced anyone. Massimiliano Allegri has rejected him several times, even preferring Alex Sandro who in recent times has not been playing at good levels. Initially one could think of a physical problem, given that Tiago Djalò tore his cruciate ligament in March 2022. So a period to get back into shape is physiological, but now there are fifteen consecutive bench games. It is clear that with only two fronts there is less need for rotation, but on the other hand it is clear what the choices are.
So Tiago Djalò will almost certainly end up on the market. Maybe on loan, better as a possible bargaining chip. However, the situation appears to be difficult to resolve, so it will eventually be necessary to understand who the next coach will be. Obviously with Allegri it is unlikely that anything will change, whereas if there was a new one there would probably be another opportunity.
Graham Potter continues to be a name on the Milan bench. The coach, currently under contract with Chelsea, had been investigated in recent months, so much so that his identikit had already been linked to the Rossoneri in February. Obviously the English club would leave him free, considering that he has signed a five-year contract and, in fact, still has three years left (until 30 June 2027). Potter has become the most expensive manager in the history of football, given that the Blues had spent around 23 million euros to release him from Brighton, exceeding what Bayern Munich paid to secure the signature of Julian Nagelsmann. The parties are in contact and are intensifying their discussions on the matter, mainly discussing the overall figures of the possible operation: Genoa has in fact opened up to the formula indicated by Ausilio and Marotta, who are now to be considered in pole position for the Icelandic despite the appreciation also of Juventus and Napoli. At the same time, Genoa asked for information on Valentin Carboniwho will return from his loan to Monza at the end of the championship: Inter’s idea is to evaluate him in the summer training camp, but to date there doesn’t seem to be any particular opening towards a farewell unless in the face of a cash proposal of at least 35-40 million of Euro.
Bologna targets Lilian Brassier, defender of Brest. Bologna’s sporting director, Giovanni Sartori, really likes the central defender and there was a meeting to possibly understand what the prices will be to sign him in the summer. Brest are third in the table behind unreachable Paris Saint Germain and Monaco, with the possibility of playing in the Champions League next season. However, Bologna is an attractive club – precisely because of the same opportunity to play for the most important trophy – and could invest in him in the event of Riccardo Calafiori’s departure. However, it is not certain that there will be an effort even if the former Roma player were to remain.
And the evaluation? Between 10 and 12 million euros.
