Thomas Tuchel, coach of Bayern Munich, does not send word to her after the daring 2-1 defeat at Real Madrid. The German coach says to Sky Sports: “We are disappointed and also angry at the final decision of the referee who blew the whistle but was not offside. Very difficult to swallow, we were close to the goal after a great match. To beat Real Madrid you have to win in the shower, it’s not enough only the pitch. Tonight, however, we conceded the equalizer due to an error by our best player, the goalkeeper, and then there was a disastrous decision by the referee and linesman against us. It cannot be accepted, no excuses.”
What did Marciniak tell you after the match?
“He apologized, admitting that it was his mistake but it’s not just his, first the linesman made a mistake by raising his flag without being sure he was offside. Two mistakes in the same action… Too much anxiety.”
Happy with yours?
“Very much, it’s never easy to play here. At the Bernabeu you don’t have to be perfect but be good enough and we were but we’re not in the final. We gave everything on the pitch, we accept that.”
