Bayern Munich, Muller vitriolic: “Playing with Real Madrid is always very strange”

Thomas Muller, Bayern Munich striker, certainly didn’t take the Bavarians’ elimination from the Champions League well. The German international lashed out with vitriolic words against Real Madrid at the end of the semi-final lost in a photo finish due to Joselu’s brace, focusing above all on the final action, that of the goal disallowed for de Ligt due to an offside whistle whistled too hastily:

“Playing against Real Madrid is always very strange. The referee didn’t go to the VAR. He didn’t even have the chance to go and see it. A situation like this is very strange, blowing the whistle so quickly is strange. It happens often here in Madrid … I saw it done a few years ago, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace, but this was before VAR.”
