The Board of Directors meeting was held today in Rome National Amateur League in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Hon. Maurizio Leo, accompanied for the occasion by the Head of the Technical Secretariat Dr. Edoardo Arrigo. The President of the NLD Giancarlo Abete thanked the Deputy Minister for making himself available for the meeting and for the ability to listen demonstrated on the issues of interest to the companies associated with the National Amateur League, with particular reference to the fiscal and tax issues that are still open. Specifically, the Board of Directors of the NLD submitted to the Deputy Minister Leo the issues relating to the VAT regulation of ASD/SSD, to the reimbursement of expenses recognized to “voluntary” amateur athletes, to the need to provide for an amnesty rule for any errors committed by amateur clubs following the legal provisions linked to the Sports Reform , the restoration of the so-called “sports bonus” for 2024, the tax credit for sponsorships in favor of ASD/SSD and, lastly, the changes to the art. 9 of Legislative Decree no. 36/2021 regarding the proceeds of secondary and instrumental activities of amateur clubs.
It was a fruitful and constructive meeting at the end of which the President of the NLD Giancarlo Abete he anticipated that the League will send to Deputy Minister Leo, within a short time, a document which will summarize the proposals put forward in today’s meeting.
