Juventus, McKennie puzzle: the American wants to stay but there is a stalemate over the renewal

Juventus is one step away from qualifying for the next Champions League but is also working towards next season and the future. Today’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport also focused on the situation linked to Weston McKennie, who is not certain of continuing his career with Juventus. The American midfielder has started the first negotiations for the renewal of his contract, given that it will expire on June 30, 2025, but reaching a definitive solution does not seem easy at all.

Juventus would like to offer him a lower salary while the American would prefer an increase reaching 3 million euros per season, the same as what Manuel Locatelli currently receives, for example. McKennie has relaunched himself in the last period and would like to stay in Turin, where after a period of difficulty he has found the right spaces and is back at full capacity in Max Allegri’s schemes. After Roma-Juventus the American sent another message of love, hoping to play the Champions League in the black and white jersey. The future, however, is still to be written.
