Avellino waiting for the playoffs. Patience: “We need to maintain the pace. VAR? Important”

For theAvellinoas well as for Padua And Torres the Serie C promotion playoffs will only begin on May 21st. For this reason the Irpinia team is training these days with the aim of arriving at that appointment in the best possible psycho-physical condition. To do this today the team coached by Michele Pazienza took a friendly test at the end of which the technician himself made some statements.

“The team needs to maintain the pace – we read on TuttoAvellino.it -, for some players it is necessary to maintain their condition, for others it is necessary to put minutes into their legs, as we are trying to do. The goal is to bring everyone to an optimal condition. Friendly match lasted 60 minutes, we are working in certain directions, we will do other tests to maintain the pace. Last year’s defeat hurt me, but it made me grow, to also avoid making the same mistakes made in the past, to try not to repeat situations in the past. The playoffs are one-off games, you have to make as few mistakes as possible.”

Pazienza then talks about the playoffs which will start this evening and the arrival of VAR, also in Serie C: “I will try to watch some matches, there are well-equipped teams, Carrarese and Padova who are very well-equipped, who play football similar to ours, Padova itself, which has greater dribbling. It’s an important situation, certainly we can avoid refereeing errors or at least limit them.”
