Alessandro Nestacoach of Reggiana, speaks to the microphones of Sky after the defeat suffered at Marassi against friend Pirlo’s Sampdoria: “The first half was so-so but the second was much better: they physically attacked us a bit in the first minutes, while in the final minutes there is no referee management in this way. VAR or not VAR, it doesn’t matter, they disqualify me because I got the red but that’s not good.
This year we had a lot of problems, a lot of players broke down but despite everything we saved ourselves with two days to spare. Today we held our own against an excellent Sampdoria, it wasn’t a given.”
Monza in the future?
“I do my job, now we have a derby to prepare against Parma, I don’t think about anything else.”
What bothered you about referee management?
“Every ball sent into the area was a foul against, we had a borderline free kick with 30 seconds left and we couldn’t even beat it.”
