On the sidelines of the ‘Gran GalĂ del Calcio’ organized by ADICOSP, through the microphones of TuttoMercatoWeb.com the president of the same organization spoke, Alfonso Morrone: “It will be an evening of celebration, during which we will celebrate those who distinguished themselves in the past season. In every category, from the field to the desk.”
Morrone then also focused on the topic of the day, i.e. what the Government of Rome would like, intending to create a control agency for the accounts of Italian football clubs that would take the place of the current Covisoc, an absolutely external and impartial body:
“Without going into the specific topic, I say that this provision should be made to digest by FIFA, UEFA and the IOC who have never appreciated government interference in the sporting field. In Spain, for example, they are experiencing a similar situation with government interference in regarding the election of the new Federal President. Interferences which were not viewed favorably by the bodies I mentioned previously, so much so that they threatened the Spanish Federation with being expelled from international competitions. I close by saying that I respect Abodi and President Gravina and I hope that this controversy should end as soon as possible. Politics must deal with sport, but it must never deal with it.”
