In his interview on Fiorentina’s official channels, the president of the Viola club, Rocco Commissoalso spoke about the match against Club Brugge on Wednesday, with the Italian team who, after the 3-2 victory in the first leg, will seek the pass to the Conference League final: “We won the first leg in the last minute and I think that even if I am not present, the team will go to Belgium to try to get closer to the finish line in Athens. I saw everyone well, including the women’s team and the younger ones.”
What did you ask the team ahead of Wednesday?
“I don’t have to ask the players anything, they already know everything. I believe that everyone will be encouraged to play at their best. I hope we can see each other in Athens.”
How is work progressing in the company after the reorganization?
“As I expected. We have given much more responsibility to Alessandro Ferrari and Pradè. The sporting director is thinking of the sporting side and the general manager of all the other aspects that exist in a company as large as Fiorentina. Up to now everything has gone well. outside of the problems we still have regarding the stadium.”
Any thoughts on Wednesday’s game?
“It’s a shame we can’t be there but I hope everything goes well. We won the first leg and we can play knowing we can do it, with maximum concentration to bring joy to Florence, to its fans and to me too.”
