Borussia Dortmund, the end of an era: Reus says goodbye after 12 seasons, he will be freed to zero

Official

Twelve years after his arrival, Marco Reus will leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. His contract expires on June 30th and the yellow and black number 11 will not extend it, as the club itself announced via its social profiles: “Borussia Dortmund and its historic captain Marco Reus have mutually agreed not to extend the contract, which expires at the end of the season.”

At 34, therefore, Reus will experience a new chapter in his career. It is not yet known whether he will continue to play in Germany or go abroad, but one thing is certain: he will no longer play for Borussia Dortmund. And so an era ends.
