Feralpisalò, Zaffaroni: “I regret the missed victory, but the team is alive”

At the end of the Garda derby between FeralpiSalò and Brescia, which ended in a draw, the coach of the Leoni del Garda, Marco Zaffaroniexpressed a mixture of regret and satisfaction at the press conference.

“It was a great occasion, the team played an excellent match,” began Zaffaroni, as reported by Tifo Brescia. “There’s a bit of regret because we missed that extra bit to bring home the three points. It was a heavy match from an emotional point of view.”

Despite the draw, the coach underlined the team’s growth: “I’m interested in what the team does, not the results of the others. The team is alive, we’re growing. Let’s keep this attention for two more games and then we’ll evaluate where we will be.”

Zaffaroni did not hide his disappointment at the missed victory: “Today the glass is half empty unfortunately because we deserved more. In the last few games we have conceded too many goals from dead balls.”

When asked about survival, the coach responded with caution: “I still don’t know if it’s possible. I’m interested in the team maintaining this intensity and this desire. The important thing is that we don’t get demoralized by this draw.”

Finally, a comment on Brescia’s tactical choice: “I had seen that Brescia had three behind in the last match, then seeing the squad I had guessed that Maran could choose this setup. But we didn’t particularly suffer from this system.”
