Bruges, Hayen before Fiorentina: “I want to win them all. In goal? You’ll see tomorrow”

The Bruges coach, Nicky Hayenspoke before the match against Fiorentina in the Conference League.

On the psychological condition of the team.
“I want to win every match and the further we go the better. We play with a lot of confidence and we want to show on the pitch that we play together and that we want to do well. We don’t make excuses for the number of matches already played.”

About who will play in goal.
“You’ll see tomorrow… I spoke with both goalkeepers but I don’t want to give advantages to the opponents. It was a difficult decision to make but having two goalkeepers like ours is a luxury because they are both doing very well.”

On the emotion of playing in a semi-final for a Belgian club after 31 years.
“It’s a very beautiful thing: we have to believe in ourselves but we must not settle but we have to go to the final. We will show our confidence in the match too.”

What type of match will your team play tomorrow.
“We have seen that Fiorentina is an atypical team compared to the other Italian teams: it never blocks and plays with a very high defense. It keeps the ball very often. We are prepared to play based on how the Viola team will play. I imagine that Fiorentina will play very high”.

On Kouame and his knowledge of Belgian football

“Kouame’s qualities are known. He can score goals and give a great hand. However, Fiorentina is not just Kouame. He has a lot of experience and quality, we will have to be prepared.”

On this edition of the Conference League.
“All the teams that are in the semi-finals are here because they deserved it. We are preparing as best we can for tomorrow’s match, then we will think about the possible final.”
