Bari, Di Cesare: “I think I’ll stop in three games. We can’t get relegated”

Valerio Di Cesaredefender of Bari, spoke to the microphones of Sky Sports after the draw that earned Parma promotion to San Nicola. “We are not machines, we are men and we have emotions, we are suffering from this situation, it is not simple. We find ourselves fighting not to be relegated and we did not expect it. Now there is little to celebrate, between 4-5 days we have to go to Cittadella and win.”

What is the recipe for saving yourself?
“We have to be united, mean, sacrifice for each other. This is the recipe for saving ourselves. Last week I had this outburst because I’ve had a career, in three games I think I’ll stop, I’m 41… Then in football you never know. I wanted to have another type of year, now we want to withdraw so that Bari doesn’t get relegated.”

On the reasons.
“I think there are many, we are responsible because we go on the pitch. Unfortunately it’s football, there are cursed years, last year we won worse matches than this year. Nothing has turned in our favor, I don’t want alibi, but then you find yourself fighting, you’re not used to it, you were hoping for something else. There’s no specific reason. Brescia were relegated last year and are making the playoffs with the same team.”
