Inter, Help on transfer dreams Gudmundsson and Zirkzee: “Certain operations are difficult in Italy”

Piero Ausiliosporting director of Inter, speaks thus to Sports Mediaset on the sidelines of the Scudetto celebration: “We have had many victories here but this one is special. There is no Coca Cola on the bus, in these 7 hours the boys drank everything. The pressure is good, the season started with the aim of winning the Scudetto and being the first in Milan with the second star. Now we will do everything to compete, Inter can only play every season to try to win. And if others succeed, we will shake their hands.”

Is there a risk of feeling too stronger?
“Absolutely not. It’s not easy, in Italy, unlike what some people think, there are at least 5-6 teams that want to win the Scudetto. We are Inter and we cannot start the season just to think about Champions League qualification. Next year we will start again with the same ambition, with the desire to compete and without presumption.”

Are there any Italian players we can add to the squad?
“I really like the question, it recognizes the work we have done, trying to create a hard core of belonging to Inter through Dimarco, Barella, Bastoni, Frattesi, Asllani… These are all Inter fans, even before they are Italians. I’m not just thinking about Italians but about people who have been playing here for a long time and know the championship: it’s a question of quality. There are good guys in the U21s, many of them are ours. Don’t forget Oristano on loan, Carboni who chose Argentina but is also Italian, Fabbian who we can buy back… The team is made up of good chemistry and the right number of players. Two per role, not necessarily a roster of thirty.”

Do you like Gudmundsson or Zirkzee more?
“I like them both but you know very well the difficulty of carrying out certain operations in Italy… They are of quality but this does not mean that Inter can buy them. We have five attackers and we will start with four.”
