Vocalelli: “Inter, scudetto symbol of superiority. Ownership also has merit”

“Inter, the scudetto is the deserved symbol of superiority.” On the pages of La Gazzetta dello SportAlessandro Vocalelli comments on the tricolor won five days early by the Nerazzurri Simone Inzaghi: “It would be a mistake and it would be short-sighted if we reduced everything to the sixteen point advantage over the second in the standings. The scudetto is in fact the seal, the well-deserved symbol, of an overwhelming superiority over the competition.

But what should make the antagonists reflect it’s the how versus when of this Nerazzurri success. How did the Inter managers manage to dig a single so deep? […] The title that Inzaghi and the team will celebrate on and off the pitch this Sunday at the end of April is in fact something that goes far beyond a ‘simple finish line achieved with arms raised’.

The analysis shifts to the differences with Milan and Juventus: “We have to start again from the foundations, because it is the coach who has to chart the path. But ultimately it is the same for many others. […] Inter’s advantage is determined by the managers, by Inzaghi, by the players. And from a property that – can we say? – however, it has clear strategic merits. If only because, from Marotta to the coach, there is someone who has made these choices.”
