Ramón Diaz he is no longer the coach of Vasco da Gama. The former Fiorentina, Napoli and Inter player, 64, resigned after the 4-0 defeat at home against Criciuma. In his place, the Brazilian club has promoted coach Rafael Paiva from the Under-20 team, who takes over the management of the first team on an interim basis.

Vasco scored only 3 points in the first 4 days of the Brazilian championship, the result of a victory (on the first day) and three consecutive defeats.
