Napoli, Calzona: “I expect a proud performance, let’s eliminate the accumulated waste”

The Napoli coach Francesco Calzona spoke to the microphones of Sky in view of the match against Roma, scheduled for 6.00 pm at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in Naples and valid for the 34th matchday of Serie A.

The hardest week?
“It’s been a troubled week, we’re happy that the match is coming so we can eliminate all the scores accumulated in recent days.”

You took a clear position towards the players: was there a need to communicate this externally?
“I spoke firsthand, without thinking about the club. The players go on the pitch and I put them there: it’s right that I take on the responsibilities but also the players.”

Why Cajuste?
“Because we also have problems with Traoré, who has a screw that bothers him in the place where he operated. We are obliged.”

What do you expect?
“Freeing ourselves from the mental problems we have at the moment and putting in a performance. We may even lose, but in the long run, performances lead to results. I expect a proud performance.”
