Adani: “Napoli will still fight tonight. Coach? I dream of a Sarri again”

Interviewed by today’s edition of The morning, Daniele Adani spoke about today’s match between Napoli and Roma: “Napoli will still give battle. They must do so because they are still playing with the scudetto on their chest. How? By detaching themselves from the incredible chain of negative events that have affected them so far and leveraging this which has always been his belief: to take the field to play a great match. He has the means to win even against a strong and confident Roma, he must leave the frustration at home and concentrate.

How do you explain a season like this after a championship? There are various reading levels. The most apparent one is having given up on a coach and a sporting director who had built a team capable of surprising in Italy and Europe. But it is too much to justify such a strong leap backwards, despite the will and seriousness of the successive coaches. I would therefore say to divide the responsibilities between the team, the benches and the club.”

Ideas for the next coach? If De Laurentiis builds a project on Conte it will be good. I also respect Pioli, but the dream is a Sarri encore. Not even Spalletti scored Sarri’s points, an expression of football never seen before, in the sense of breaking with the past and transmitting emotions. I believe that Napoli and Sarri, who is Neapolitan, deserve to smile together.”
