Alexander Murgiamidfielder for Hermannstadt, a club that plays in the Romanian top division, spoke again to Sky Sport microphones, recalling his goal in the Italian Super Cup final against Juventus: “It remains indelible in my head. Simone Inzaghi knew how to charge you up with the right words. But today I only think about the present. I try to be a good dad. I have three wonderful children with different partners, I won’t deny it. But they were periods of my life that I don’t regret”.
Is he still tied to Lazio?
“I’ve always supported Lazio as a people, as a square. And not for the players. The fans are warm and this is wonderful, at the time it made me responsible. I spoke to Luis Alberto a few weeks ago. The same goes for Ciro, who I spoke to when I found out about the transfer to Turkey. Every now and then I don’t feel like sending a message. I’m afraid of being a nuisance. But I still have a good relationship with everyone”.
How is it in Romania?
“The country is small, life is good. I was a bit skeptical but I changed my mind.”
Would he return to Serie A?
“It could be a goal. But I would also consider another option abroad. I’m fine here, I’m learning Romanian. I only think about the present, I evaluate the dynamics from time to time. My career started strong. I probably wasn’t mature yet. I traveled a lot, I played in different categories. In football the pressure is very high. After a while I understood that it’s important to work on your head. I’ve always told the truth. And I will continue to do so. I’m sure that my children, as well as my family and friends, will appreciate me for who I am. And not for what I do.”
