Willian out of contract, but Fulham want to keep him. Silva: “I will do my best to convince him”

At 35 years old Willian continues to be appreciated in the Premier League. After a life at Chelsea, the Brazilian attacking winger returned to England in the summer of 2022, when he accepted Fulham’s offer. Five goals and five assists in his first season, four goals and two assists in this current one: with these numbers he has shown that he can still make his contribution in a team in the English first division.

Precisely for this reason Fulham now hopes to keep him. The South American left winger’s contract expires at the end of the season, but the coach Marco Silva he hopes to be able to convince him to renew his contract: “I will do my best to ensure that he remains in our team next year too. We will talk to him at the end of the season, we will analyze together what we have done this year and then he will make a decision. Willian he has had an exceptional career and is always very professional”, the words of the coach in the press conference.
